Water over spillway at LaMoure
Water continues to overflow the emergency spillway at Lake LaMoure, according to Sheri Gartner, emergency manager for LaMoure County. Water continues to overflow the emergency spillway at Lake LaMoure, according to Sheri Gartner, emergency manager for LaMoure County.
Gartner said the overflow condition was expected to continue for several days and had prompted local officials to place concrete mats over the spillway to prevent erosion of the dam.
“State and local officials will remain on site monitoring the emergency spillway 24 hours a day as long as water continues to flow over it,” Gartner said.
