Letter to the editor: Jamestown College has not indicated it will let lease end

After reading The Jamestown Sun front page article on “Center Plans” on March 9, we as the executive board of the James River Family YMCA were compelled to write this letter.

After reading The Jamestown Sun front page article on “Center Plans” on March 9, we as the executive board of the James River Family YMCA were compelled to write this letter. Jamestown College has never stated to the YMCA board of any possibility that the college would not renew our lease with them, now or at any previous time in our partnership. In almost 30 years of this joint venture in the Larson Center between Jamestown College and the James River Family YMCA, we have had a good working relationship and we have always been able to work together to solve anything that comes up and will continue to do so, now and into the future.
