North Dakota wildlife officials have finalized regulations for the next two fishing seasons. The Game and Fish Department says there are several notable changes. One eliminates the 14-inch minimum walleye size limit on Spiritwood Lake and Lake Ashtabula.
BISMARCK (AP) — North Dakota wildlife officials have finalized regulations for the next two fishing seasons.
The Game and Fish Department says there are several notable changes. One eliminates the 14-inch minimum walleye size limit on Spiritwood Lake and Lake Ashtabula.
Live baitfish are not allowed in Harmon Lake and Crown Butte Dam. On Lake Metigoshe, daily and possession limit for bluegill are reduced to 10 and 20, respectively. State Fair Pond in Ward County is closed to all fishing from Nov. 1 through March 31.
Several lakes have been added to the list of open waters for darkhouse spearfishing, including all waters open to public fishing in Ramsey County; Carlson Lakes in Ward County; Gravel Lake in Rolette County; and West Napoleon Lake in Logan County. Patterson Reservoir in Stark County is closed to darkhouse spearfishing.
Anglers need new fishing licenses as of Thursday.
