Schwartzkopf provides Seuss programs recently at local, area schools

Dr. Seuss’ 106th birthday was on March 2. On that day, Dr. Seuss books were read across America acknowledging “Read Across America Day!” Mary Schwartzkopf, aka “That Cat” (Mrs. James-town/N.D. America 2010) was one of those people. Schwartzkopf performed her own choreographed program of reading animation to students of the Montpelier Elementary School on March 2. Principal Mary Steele and teachers were part of the participation brought in by the Stutsman County Bookmobile. A half hour of dancing with the “Fidget Remover” (Schwartzkopf’s creation and choreography), readings from Dr. Seuss and The Cat in the Hat beanbag toss were included.
