LaMoure-Litchville-Marion’s staff of hurlers left Kidder County hitless during a pair of 5-inning contests in Steele on Monday, as the Loboes kicked off their 2010 season with pair of victories over the Pirates.
L-L-M’s Zach Stemen earned the win on the mound in Game 1, striking out 5 hitters and walking 3 in 3 innings of work. The Loboes’ Brett Hample took the mound in the fourth, striking out 4 in two innings to earn the save as L-L-M won 4-0.
Aaron Stemen went 1-for-3 at the dish with a double, an RBI, 2 stolen bases and a run scored.
Gaige Dunn did a little bit of everything for the Loboes in L-L-M’s 3-0 victory in Game 2. Dunn picked up the win on the mound, allowing no hits and striking out 9, while going 2-for-2 at the plate with a double, an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored.
