Fargo gets more Chicago flights

American Airlines on Tuesday was beginning flights between Fargo and Chicago. Regional affiliate American Eagle is providing the service. There will be three daily flights.

FARGO (AP) — American Airlines on Tuesday was beginning flights between Fargo and Chicago.

Regional affiliate American Eagle is providing the service. There will be three daily flights.

Brian Walters, president of the Greater Fargo Moorhead Economic Development Corp., said the flights are expected to bring down fares through increased competition.

United Airlines also offers flights from Fargo to Chicago.

While competition is increasing for flights to the Chicago market, Fargo is losing a westbound flight. Frontier Airlines’ last flight from Fargo to Denver was departing Tuesday.
