Chili cook-off winners announced
The Buffalo Mall recently announced the winners of the fifth annual Business Leaders Chili Cook-off fundraiser for the James River Seniors Meals on Wheels Program. The event was held March 27 at the mall. There were 16 local business leaders that took part in this event The People’s Choice Award for the “Best Tasting Chili” went to Interstate Engineering’s Steve Thompson.

The People’s Choice Award for the “Best Tasting Chili” went to Interstate Engineering’s Steve Thompson.
The award for the “Most Funds” collected was presented to the Healthy Lifestyle Coalition and Eunice and Evr Sahr.
The event raised $2,829 for Meals on Wheels, including $1,029 raised by the RSVP+ bake sale held at the same time.
