N.D. flag stamp being unveiled

Gov. John Hoeven and U.S. Postal Service officials are unveiling a commemorative stamp honoring North Dakota's state flag.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Gov. John Hoeven and U.S. Postal Service officials are unveiling a commemorative stamp honoring North Dakota's state flag.

The ceremony is Friday at the state Capitol in Bismarck.

The North Dakota stamp is part of the postal service's “Flags of our Nation” collection. Ten stamps are being released this year. The stamps are available only on 50-stamp coils at post offices and at www.usps.com.

The coil also will include Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York and North Carolina, along with a stamp with the U.S. flag next to a mountain scene.
