This year marks the 100th anniversary that the Boy Scouts of America has served youth throughout the country. The BSA has three traditional programs for youth: Cub Scouting, for boys in grades 1-5; Boy Scouting, for boys ages 11-17; and Venturing, for young men and women ages 14-20, who have completed the eighth grade. Each program is designed to help youth make ethical decisions throughout their lives by installing in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
Jamestown serves about 230 youth in five Cub Scout packs, four Boy Scout troops and three Venturing Crews, along with adult volunteers.
