Loboes remain perfect on season

The LaMoure-Litchville-Marion baseball team remained undefeated in both the overall standings and in the Region 1 standings after sweeping Central Cass in LaMoure on Tuesday night.

Zach Stemen allowed no walks and no earned runs, while striking out 6, during a 6-1 victory for the Loboes in the 7-inning region contest. L-L-M scored 3 runs in the third and three runs in the sixth.

Aaron Stemen and Devin Piehl both went 2 for 3 at the plate, each scoring a run, while Piehl pounded out a double and earned an RBI. Central Cass starter Mike Rose shouldered the loss.

In the 5-inning nightcap, L-L-M hurler Cole Gentzkow held the Squirrels hitless, while striking out 4 and walking three, as the Loboes blanked Central Cass 5-0.

LaMoure-Litchville-Marion improved to 10-0 overall with the two victories, and are now 4-0 in Region 1 play.
