Mary to hold 50th commencement

The University of Mary is getting ready to mark a milestone — its 50th commencement.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The University of Mary is getting ready to mark a milestone — its 50th commencement.

More than 900 degrees are to be awarded at the Saturday ceremony at the Bismarck Civic Center. Graduates are from 31 states and nine foreign countries.

Former President Sister Thomas Welder will give the keynote address. She also will be one of three people getting an honorary doctorate.
