Fire destroys hotel being built in Minot

Fire has destroyed a hotel under construction in Minot. Police Sgt. Scot Redding said authorities were called to the MainStay Suites building at about 3:15 a.m. Monday. He said the building was engulfed when firefighters arrived. The cause wasn’t immediately determined.

Police Sgt. Scot Redding said authorities were called to the MainStay Suites building at about 3:15 a.m. Monday. He said the building was engulfed when firefighters arrived. The cause wasn’t immediately determined.

The hotel near Dakota Square Mall was enclosed but neither the inside nor the outside were finished. It was to have opened this summer.
