Monson admitted to NDSU with honors

Marie Monson, daughter of Todd and Ruth Monson, Jamestown, has been admitted to North Dakota State University “With Distinction.” She will enter NDSU this fall and plans to major in English. Distinction means that NDSU is acknowledging Monson as an honor student.

In high school, Monson is active in National Honor Society, National Society of High School Scholars, cross country, track, volleyball, Blue Jay News, German club and Students Against Destructive Decisions. She also was listed in “Who’s Who for Academic Excellence”; volunteered for the American Heart Association, the Humane Society and the Jamestown Arts Center; and received the President’s Award for Education Excellence.
