Gary Farmer to speak at Native American fellowship dinner

Gary Farmer will address friends and supporters of United Tribes Technical College as the Guest Speaker for the David M. Gipp Native American Fellowship Dinner at 6:30 p.m., Monday at the Apple Creek Country Club.

Gary Farmer will address friends and supporters of United Tribes Technical College as the Guest Speaker for the David M. Gipp Native American Fellowship Dinner at 6:30 p.m., Monday at the Apple Creek Country Club.

Farmer is a Canadian artist, writer, actor, media producer and musician. His acting roles, especially in the films Powwow Highway and Smoke Signals, have endeared him to audiences throughout Indian Country.

He will talk about the importance of supporting Native American youth in developing leadership skills.

Proceeds from the event will support United Tribes students who are selected for the leaders fellowships.
