Former Fargo School Superintendent David Flowers has been offered the superintendent's job in West Fargo.

WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Former Fargo School Superintendent David Flowers has been offered the superintendent's job in West Fargo.

The West Fargo School Board on Friday chose Flowers over two other candidates — West Fargo Assistant Superintendent Louise Dardis and Perham-Dent (Minn.) Superintendent Tamara Uselman.

Nineteen people applied for the leadership post in North Dakota's fastest-growing school district.

Flowers currently is superintendent in Hutchinson, Kan. He asked the board for time to discuss his decision with family and his current employer.
