Kaminsky, Orton finalists for MSUM post
Two head college coaches in North Dakota are finalists for the top men’s basketball job at Minnesota State Moorhead. Valley City State head coach Jeff Kaminsky and Dickinson State head coach Ty Orton are finalists along with Upper Iowa’s Brian Dolan and Iowa assistant Chad Walthall.
MOORHEAD, Minn. (AP) — Two head college coaches in North Dakota are finalists for the top men’s basketball job at Minnesota State Moorhead.
Valley City State head coach Jeff Kaminsky and Dickinson State head coach Ty Orton are finalists along with Upper Iowa’s Brian Dolan and Iowa assistant Chad Walthall.
Moorhead athletic director Doug Peters says he would like to name a new head coach by the middle of next week.
The school earlier this year declined to renew the contract of former head coach Stu Engen, who was at the helm for eight seasons.
