Weather washes out Speedway, other events

Mother Nature has done it again. A handful of area events have been wiped out this weekend because of the cold, wet weather conditions.

A handful of area events have been wiped out this weekend because of the cold, wet weather conditions.

r Jamestown girls’ tennis match scheduled for Friday against Minot Bishop Ryan has been postponed to Saturday, May 15 in Jamestown following the Blue Jays’ match with Minot at noon.

r The Blue Jay girls’ tennis team will still compete in the West Fargo Tournament today, but the starting time has been pushed back to 10 a.m.

r The Blue Jays’ baseball doubleheader with Minot scheduled for today will now take place on May 17. The Blue Jays were going to make up their games with Devils Lake, but instead those game will be canceled and Jamestown will host the Magicians.

r Opening weekend at the Jamestown Speedway, scheduled for tonight at 7 p.m., has been canceled.
