Suspect arrested in Bismarck carjacking, robbery
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Bismarck man has been arrested in the carjacking of a newspaper deliverer whose car was used minutes later in a gas station robbery.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Bismarck man has been arrested in the carjacking of a newspaper deliverer whose car was used minutes later in a gas station robbery.
Bismarck police identified the suspect as 25-year-old Matthew Tschaekofske, who faces two counts of armed robbery. He was being held Sunday in the Burleigh County jail.
Police say a Bismarck Tribune delivery man was ordered out of his car at gunpoint about 3:45 a.m. Saturday. The armed suspect then took off in the car.
Police say the suspect showed up about 15 minutes later at a Tesoro Station, robbed the clerk at gunpoint and fled in the car.
