N.D. hatchery worker retires

The man responsible for rearing millions of fish at the Garrison Dam National Fish Hatchery near Riverdale has retired.

RIVERDALE, N.D. (AP) ) The man responsible for rearing millions of fish at the Garrison Dam National Fish Hatchery near Riverdale has retired.

Jon Gravning, the hatchery’s cold water species specialist, left the job last week.

Gravning had been at the Riverdale hatchery for 14 years raising trout and salmon.

Before working at the hatchery, Gravning worked 20 years as a fish biologist.
