A lucky 2by2 ticket holder hit it big – really big – in the draw on Monday. The ticket holder purchased five plays using the same numbers, and won five separate jackpots each worth $22,000. The $110,000 2by2 ticket was purchased at Cashwise Foods in Bismarck. The winning red numbers are 11 and 15 and the white numbers are 17 and 21.
The North Dakota State Lottery said the unique approach of a player choosing to purchase five plays with the exact same numbers for a single draw will remain a mystery until the player comes forward to claim the prize and has a chance to tell the story. The chances of winning one 2by2 jackpot on a single play are 1:105,625.
“A prize amount of $600 or more must be claimed at the lottery headquarters,” said Lottery Director Randy Miller. “The lottery recommends that the holder of the winning ticket sign the back of the ticket to protect the prize and contact the Lottery at 701-328-1574 to make arrangements for claiming the ticket,” said Miller.
Since the lottery introduced 2by2 on Feb. 2, 2006, North Dakota lottery players have won 156 2by2 jackpots – that is more than $3.2 million in jackpot prizes. 2by2 can be played every day of the week and if the game is played with a 7-day multi-draw purchase, all prizes double on Tuesdays.
Players have 180 days to cash a winning ticket. Tickets can be checked by visiting a participating Lottery retailer, or by visiting the lottery’s website at www.lottery.nd.gov, or by calling the winning numbers line at 701-328-1111.
