MANDAN, N.D. (AP) — Fallen soldiers are being honored at the annual Memorial Day ceremony at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery south of Mandan.
The theme of the Monday event is “Still Serving,” with retired military members filling key roles such as master of ceremonies and national anthem singer.
Speakers include Gov. John Hoeven, Sen. Kent Conrad, Rep. Earl Pomeroy and Guard commander David Sprynczynatyk.
A B-52 bomber from Minot Air Force Base will fly over the cemetery.
