Forty-five years ago, after reading a $20 book on “how to” of theatrical make-up and costuming, the Rev. Jack Strom transformed himself into the innkeeper who 2,000 years ago denied Joseph and his pregnant wife, Mary, a night’s lodging.

Since then, he has done various biblical and historical characters with a unique impersonation of the “heroes of the faith,” sharing the emotions, joys and fears of life as lived in the midst of mankind.

Strom will introduce a series of sermons that the Rev. Darrell Losing will be presenting during the summer months called “A Letter with Love” from the Epistle to the Philippians written by the Apostle Paul.

Strom currently is serving as president of Trinity Bible College, Ellendale, N.D. In presenting his dramas of the “heroes of the faith,” he has traveled throughout the nation and appeared numerous times on television

Strom will present “The Apostle Paul…I was There” at First Assembly of God, Jamestown, during the 10:30 a.m. worship service Sunday. Losing and the congregation invite the public to attend. For information, call the church office at 252-4092.
