MEDORA, N.D. (AP) — A spooked horse caused a stir but no injuries during a Flag Day parade in Medora.
Medora Musical host Dale Given says the bridle on one of two horses pulling a float carrying cast members was broken, and when the horse became spooked near the announcers’ stand it was uncontrollable. The horses went galloping through town with the float, which held about a dozen people.
Police Chief John Bey says the horses and float stopped when they crashed into a parked car. An ambulance was called because one of the riders on the float suffered a panic attack.
