Stemen fans 12 in LaMoure victory

Aaron Stemen piled up 12 strikeouts as LaMoure Post 19 wiped out Oakes 17-2 on Wednesday in American Legion baseball action. Stemen allowed just three hits over five innings as Post 19 improved to 7-1 in section play and 13-7 overall. He also went 2 for 4 with three RBIs and two runs.

Brett Hample had two of LaMoure’s 12 hits, scored three runs, stole a base and drove in one. Gaige Dunn also had a pair of hits, three RBIs and a double. Cole Gentzkow had two RBIs and scored three times.

Zac Roberts had two of Oakes’ three hits.
