N.D. GOP House hopeful Berg says he's raised $1M
North Dakota Republican U.S. House candidate Rick Berg says he's raised more than $1 million for his campaign.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota Republican U.S. House candidate Rick Berg says he's raised more than $1 million for his campaign.
Berg says that puts him in better shape than previous challengers to Democratic Rep. Earl Pomeroy. Pomeroy is running for his 10th term in the House.
Pomeroy still has a big money advantage over Berg. In mid-May Pomeroy reported that he'd raised almost $1.9 million for his campaign, and he said he had $1.5 million in the bank.
That's about twice as much money as Berg has. The Republican says he had about $750,000 cash in his campaign treasury as of Wednesday.
Pomeroy and Berg are supposed to file fundraising disclosure reports with the Federal Election Commission by July 15.
