Jimmies’ Smoke transfers to Minot State

Ashley Smoke has transferred from Jamestown College to Minot State and will play softball for the Beavers next season. Smoke, who will be a junior next year for the Beavers, hit .333 with 18 RBIs, two doubles and a triple last season for the Jimmies, who went 32-15 and finished third in the DAC.

Ashley Smoke has transferred from Jamestown College to Minot State and will play softball for the Beavers next season.

Smoke, who will be a junior next year for the Beavers, hit .333 with 18 RBIs, two doubles and a triple last season for the Jimmies, who went 32-15 and finished third in the DAC.

Smoke played first base, catcher and designated hitter for the Jimmies.

Minot State (34-14) placed second in the league and advanced to the NAIA national tournament, where they went 2-1. The school is in its final season of competition in the DAC as part of its transition to NCAA Division II.
