Jimmies’ Smoke transfers to Minot State
Ashley Smoke has transferred from Jamestown College to Minot State and will play softball for the Beavers next season. Ashley Smoke has transferred from Jamestown College to Minot State and will play softball for the Beavers next season.
Smoke, who will be a junior next year for the Beavers, hit .333 with 18 RBIs, two doubles and a triple last season for the Jimmies, who went 32-15 and finished third in the DAC.
Smoke played first base, catcher and designated hitter for the Jimmies.
Minot State (34-14) placed second in the league and advanced to the NAIA national tournament, where they went 2-1. The school is in its final season of competition in the DAC as part of its transition to NCAA Division II.
