Holiday celebrants asked to keep river clean

North Dakota's Game and Fish Department is asking outdoor recreationists who celebrate the Fourth of July along the Missouri River to take care of their trash, including fireworks debris.

7BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota's Game and Fish Department is asking outdoor recreationists who celebrate the Fourth of July along the Missouri River to take care of their trash, including fireworks debris.

Enforcement Chief Robert Timian says the river is a popular destination, and some people forget to clean up after themselves.

Timian says if there aren't trash bins around, people should take their garbage with them and dispose of it at home.
