One killed in motorcycle accident near Fort Rice, N.D.

One man was killed in a motorcycle accident just south of Fort Rice, N.D., Monday according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The patrol has not released the name of the 65-year-old man driving a 2007 Harley Davidson north on N.D. Highway 1806 around 10 p.m. about two miles south of Fort Rice. Fort Rice is about 33 miles south of Bismarck.

The driver lost control of the motorcycle, the patrol said, and was ejected onto the roadway. The driver was transported to St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck when he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The driver was not wearing a helmet, the patrol said. The motorcycle was totaled.

The crash remains under investigation.
