Body found in Red River
MOORHEAD — Law officers from each side of the Red River recovered an unidentified body Thursday near downtown Fargo-Moorhead. The man’s body was discovered by two canoeists and was pulled out of the river around 5 p.m. near the railroad bridge along Fargo’s Fifth Avenue North.By: Forum Communications Co. report, The Jamestown Sun
MOORHEAD — Law officers from each side of the Red River recovered an unidentified body Thursday near downtown Fargo-Moorhead. The man’s body was discovered by two canoeists and was pulled out of the river around 5 p.m. near the railroad bridge along Fargo’s Fifth Avenue North.
It appeared the body had been in the river for at least a couple days, said Fargo Police Lt. Pat Claus. Authorities are working to identify the man and determine a cause of death.
There are no active missing-person reports in Fargo, Moorhead or Clay County.
