MINOT, N.D. (AP) — The longtime director of Ward County Social Services has retired.
Dan Richter ended his 35-year run in the post at the end of June.
Richter says an interest in serving people through an organized system drew him into social work. A future in administration wasn't his focus, but he fell into the role and enjoyed it.
His successor is Rob Kondos, who previously worked for St. Joseph's Hospital, Edgewood Vista and The View, all of Minot, and Maple View, which established Alzheimer's care facilities in Grand Forks and Bismarck.
