Work continues on texting ban

GRAND FORKS (AP) — City officials in Grand Forks are doing more work on a proposal to ban texting and driving.

GRAND FORKS (AP) — City officials in Grand Forks are doing more work on a proposal to ban texting and driving.

The City Council last week could have given final approval to the measure but instead sent it back to the city’s safety committee for more discussion. The committee meets this week.

A city ban on sending or receiving text messages or accessing the Internet while on the road would carry a $30 fine.
