LaMoure top seed for Section 2 tournament

Defending state champion LaMoure is the top seed for the Section 2 American Legion tournament, which begins today in Edgeley.

The opening game pits fourth-seeded Linton against No. 5 Lisbon at noon, followed by third-seeded Oakes meeting No. 6 Ellendale.

Top-seeded LaMoure faces the Linton/Lisbon winner around 5 p.m., while second-seeded and host Edgeley gets the Oakes/Ellendale winner in the final game of the day.

The tournament continues on Thursday and Friday with the championship set for Saturday.
