Vote to maintain ban on blood donors was too close

Are six people on the Federal Drug Administration Advisory Committee on Blood Safety and Available insane? Or are they willing to infect the American people with their own twisted version of political correctness?
The committee recently voted 9-6 to maintain the ban on homosexual blood donors. Why did the FDA create this ban? Because, according to the Family Research Council, homosexual men are 60 times more likely to be infected with HIV than the rest of the population.
This has nothing to do with prejudice or discrimination. It has everything to do with public safety.
Even though the current law will stay in place, there is a strong possibility that the nation’s blood supply could be at risk in the future. A 9-6 vote on an issue of this importance is too close.
