Alfred church hosting performance

SONrise Gospel Singers will perform in concert at the Alfred Church of God (7th Day) at 2 p.m. July 31. The group will also perform at 7 p.m. Sunday at Grace Baptist church, Gackle, and 6 p.m. July 30, at Free Methodist Church, Jamestown.

SONrise Ministries is located in Dallas, Ore. Harlow and Jarene Rudolph are members of Salt Creek Baptist Church in Dallas.

Harlow Rudolph was born and raised in Herreid, S.D. He began singing at an early age. He founded SONrise in 1969 in Lodi, Calif. Rudolph is a songwriter and his songs have been recorded on numerous projects.

Jarene Rudolph was born in Forest Park, Ill. She has sung in various groups before becoming a part of SONrise and is also a songwriter.
