In his homily, the Rev. Al Bitz, pastor of St. James Basilica, will explain Catholic understanding of the fate of those who die but are not sinless enough to enter heaven. Everyone is invited to attend so let out of town relatives and friends know. Participants should bring their own lawn chairs and join the parish family in praying for each other. The Knights of Columbus will be assisting with the Mass.
Following the Mass explore the cemetery with self-guided tours of the cemetery. George Barron and Sadie Hagan have the locations of those buried to make it easier for people to find gravesites.
