Post 14 earns No. 3 seed for state tourney

The Jamestown Post 14 Eagles baseball team earned the East Region’s No. 3 seed for this week’s North Dakota State Class A American Legion Baseball Tournament.

The Jamestown Post 14 Eagles baseball team earned the East Region’s No. 3 seed for this week’s North Dakota State Class A American Legion Baseball Tournament.

The tourney begins in Bismarck on Wednesday with West Fargo (No. 1 East) facing Williston (No. 4 West) at 11 a.m. Post 14 plays the second game at 2 p.m. vs. Minot (No. 2 West).

The final two games of the opening round pits Fargo (No. 2 East) against Mandan (No. 3 West) at 5 p.m., and Bismarck (No. 1 West) against Grand Forks (No. 4 East) at 8 p.m.

The Eagles wrapped up last week’s East Divisional Tournament in Fargo on Friday with a 16-3 loss to Fargo. Danny Fischer went 3-for-4 and scored a run to pace the Eagles.

The results of the game were unavailable prior to press time.
