Fishing league wraps up season

Team M&M, captained by Mike Gums, and the Lucky Horseshoes, captained by Perry Fink, tied for top honors in the 12th and final week of the Stutsman County Fishing League.

Team M&M and the Lucky Horseshoes each scored 10 points in the final week of fishing, with Gum’s M&M team finishing first in the overall season point standings with 119 points. Stan’s Bait & Tackle finished second in season standings with 102 points, after earning five points in the final week.

The Lucky Horseshoes pumped up a spot in the standings to finish the season in eighth.

Finishing the season third in the standings was Neon Dion, captained by Dion Schlenker, with 67 points. The Buffalo Builders and the Buckaroo’s tied for fourth with 62 points each.

The league will host its end of the year fish-off on Aug. 3 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The fish-off is aimed at having fun, with the points being set back at zero.
