Job Corps center getting upgrades

MINOT (AP) — Work is under way on two building projects at the Quentin N. Burdick Job Corps Center in Minot. The projects being funded with federal stimulus money will cost about $850,000. They are scheduled to be completed in December or January.

MINOT (AP) — Work is under way on two building projects at the Quentin N. Burdick Job Corps Center in Minot.

The projects being funded with federal stimulus money will cost about $850,000. They are scheduled to be completed in December or January.

Deputy Center Director Wayde Sick said the projects include an enlargement of the culinary arts and dining area and an extension to the academic wing of the administration building. The extension will add a multipurpose room and a GED testing center.

The Job Corps Center opened in 1994.
