Timothy Short

Timothy Cordell Short, 57, McHenry, N.D., died Friday, Aug. 20, 2010, at his home.

Mr. Short was born March 4, 1953, at Kensal, N.D., the son of Rutherford and Deana (Vining) Short. He grew up and attended school at McHenry. He was an over-the-road truck driver, farmed with his brother, Dave, raised cattle and worked at Melroe in Cooperstown, N.D. He married Janet Hoyt on April 4, 1985, at Cooperstown. He most recently worked for Schiltz Goose Farms near Tolna, N.D. He enjoyed reading, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Dawn (Lawrence) Straley, South Haven, Minn., Taunya (Kevin) Hegyi, Minneapolis, Minn., and Kasey Short, Cooperstown; two brothers, Dave, McHenry, and Terry (Shirley), Cooperstown; five sisters, Maxine (Lawrence) Olson, Pelican Rapids, Minn., Roberta Williams, and Judy (Glenn) Cudworth, both New Rockford, N.D., Linda Somerville, Minnewaukan, N.D., and Ruth Zidon, Dilworth, Minn.

He was preceded in death by a son, Tyler, his parents, and four brothers, Kendall, Doug, Brian and Jack.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, McHenry, with the Rev. Jerry Rosin and Rev. Marli Danielson officiating.

Prayer service: 7 p.m. today, Evans Funeral Home, Carrington, N.D.

Visitation: 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Burial: Bethlehem Cemetery, McHenry.
