FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A Sargent County sheriff's deputy faces a charge of disorderly conduct stemming from an incident in Fargo.
Sargent County Sheriff Travis Paeper says Deputy Dave Kozok has been placed on administrative leave until further notice following an internal investigation.
The incident was reported earlier this week to Fargo police, but authorities gave no details.
Paeper says Sargent County will be assisted by a neighboring agency in the investigation to avoid a conflict of interest.
Kozok has been with the Sargent County sheriff's office for two years. He did not immediately return a message left Wednesday afternoon for him at the sheriff's office.
