BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A North Dakota ski resort and a Bismarck business on Saturday are hoping to set a world record for the longest slip and slide.
CiNcity Designs owner Nic Cruz says the slide at Huff Hills will be more than 1,100 feet long, and sliders will use the ski resort's chair lift to get to the top.
Cruz says he was looking to host a fun event and asked for suggestions on the Facebook social networking site.
He says the current world record for a slip and slide is 600 feet long. Officials at the Bismarck event plan to shoot video to submit to Guinness World Records.
