Allison McDonald and Ben Richman, both Chicago, Ill., announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage. Parents of the couple are Judy and Doug McDonald, Bloomfield, Mich., and Cindie and Martin Richman, Jamestown.

Parents of the couple are Judy and Doug McDonald, Bloomfield, Mich., and Cindie and Martin Richman, Jamestown.

Allison is a 1997 graduate of Lahser High School in Michigan, a 2001 graduate of Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, and received a Master of Business Administration in 2007 from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management. She is a vice president at Bank of America, Elmhurst, Ill.

Ben is a 2002 graduate of Soldotna High School, Alaska, a 2006 graduate of Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colo., and a 2009 graduate of the John Marshall Law School where he received his Juris Doctor. He is an attorney at Edelson McGuire, Chicago.

A summer 2011 wedding is planned.
