Rally Sunday set at Presbyterian church
“Faith Alive” is the theme for Rally Sunday at United Presbyterian Church on Sept. 12. An opening celebration will be held in the fellowship hall beginning at 9 a.m. with breakfast snacks and refreshments and a time of reconnecting following the summer months.

Sunday school classes are offered for ages 2 through adults from 9 to 10:15 a.m. There are two adult Bible-study classes offered for adults. There is no cost for the Sunday school program but registration is required for ages 2 through high school. There will be forms available for those who have not pre-registered.
Worship services follow Sunday school classes at 10:30 a.m. A nursery is offered during worship service for children as old as age 4. The celebration continues with a church picnic at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 12 at McElroy Park. There will be food and games for all ages.
Other weekly Bible studies include two women’s groups: one meets at 5:30 p.m. Mondays and one meets 6:45 a.m. Thursdays. A men’s Bible study group meets at 6:30 a.m. Fridays. The Wednesday J.A.M.M. program begins on Sept. 22. This is for ages kindergarten through fifth grade. They meet from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the YMCA every Wednesday. Transportation is available after school. Along with this program a free family supper will be offered from 5 to 6 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month. Youth Group meets on Wednesdays — middle school from 6 to 7:15 p.m. and high school from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
The church is handicap accessible through the west alley doors. United Presbyterian Church is located at 302 Second Ave. S.E.
