Carnival set for Saturday

The Salvation Army in Jamestown will be holding a carnival from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. this Saturday at McElroy Park.

There will be food, games, door prizes every half an hour and musical entertainment.

A barrel train for children will be there along with the Salvation Army’s canteen, or trailer.

Brecto said the purpose of the event is to make the community aware that the Salvation Army is a church as well as social services.

The carnival is open to everyone and there is no admission charge.
