Firefighters stop mobile home fire

Firefighters from the Jamestown Fire Department responded to a mobile home fire at 8:54 p.m. Saturday at 1040 Western Park Village, according to Jim Reuther, fire chief. Twenty-three personnel were on the scene for about two hours.

“The fire started and was limited to the area around the water heater,” Reuther said. “The rest of the home may have received smoke and water damage as well.”

Reuther said the cause of the fire was attributed to the hot water heater.

Residents of the home were displaced by the fire and received assistance from the Buffalo Valley Chapter of the Red Cross
