Rebels earn win over Clippers

Edgeley-Kulm picked up its first high school 9-man football victory of the 2010 season last Friday night with a 46-6 win over Region 1 opponent Strasburg-Zeeland at home. Both the E-K Rebels and the Clippers entered the contest without yet earning a win.

Edgeley-Kulm picked up its first high school 9-man football victory of the 2010 season last Friday night with a 46-6 win over Region 1 opponent Strasburg-Zeeland at home.

Both the E-K Rebels and the Clippers entered the contest without yet earning a win.

The Rebels got on the board in the first quarter with a 43-yard touchdown run by sophomore running back Tallen Berg. Berg would score again on the ground in the second as E-K led 30-6 at the half.

The Rebels’ junior quarterback Beau Diegel also rushed for a touchdown and threw for a touchdown in the game, helping the Rebels improve to 1-4 overall and 1-2 in Region 1 play.
