St. Paul’s women hosts district UMW
St. Paul’s United Methodist Women hosted the Three Rivers District UMW here last week. Next year the group will be part of the Sakakawea District so a lot of its activities were geared toward that transition. Another member of Sojourner’s Circle, Geneva Kamletz, died Sunday. Her funeral is at the church at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Several United Meth-odist Women will again be helping with the Children’s Day Camp from 9 to 11 a.m. Sept. 28-29. Contact Karen Aman and Carlla Maki or the church office for more information.
Dakota Conference United Methodist Women’s annual meeting will be held Oct. 8 and 9 at McCabe United Methodit Church in Bismarck. St. Paul’s United Methodist Women is to bring 24-count crayons, new coloring books, new or lightly used youth and children’s story books to be given to the Native American children on the reservation in North and South Dakota for the mission project.
All church members are invited to contribute new or lightly used, clean men’s heavier clothing to be given to the North Dakota State Hospital. Unused greeting cards for the patients’ use and James River Correctional Center can always be used.
Other items St. Paul’s United Methodist Women are collecting are: used greeting card fronts, used postage stamps, old eyeglasses, pop tops, General Mills box tops for education, Campbell soup labels (UPC and Save Label symbols) children’s hats, gloves, mittens and scarves to be used for several projects.
Church Bazaar Day will be Oct. 23 at Buffalo Mall. Arts, crafts, food products, plants and other items will be available for sale.
