Brent Johnson, 51, Gackle, N.D., died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, at Wishek Hospital, Wishek, N.D. Mr. Johnson was born Feb. 17, 1959, at Jamestown, the son of Lloyd M. and Delores J. (Mayer) Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was born Feb. 17, 1959, at Jamestown, the son of Lloyd M. and Delores J. (Mayer) Johnson. He attended Gackle Public School, Gackle. He married Tina Gattie in Lake Andes, S.D. They lived in Devils Lake, N.D., where he worked construction. They moved to Mitchell, S.D., and later returned to Gackle. He worked for Double J Manufacturing from 2007 to 2010.

He is survived by his mother, Gackle; three stepsons, Michael Buckingham, North Carolina, and Douglas Gattie and Derek Gattie, both Pierre, S.D.; a stepdaughter, Melissa Buckingham, Pierre, S.D.; a sister, Denise (Sheldon Stein) Wentz, Mandan, N.D.; two brothers, Brian, Valley City, N.D., and Brett, Gackle; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Gackle Cemetery, Gackle, with the Rev. Tim Blackman officiating. Arrangements by Haut Funeral Homes, Gackle.
