GRAND FORKS (AP) — A man who admitted to shaking and injuring his 2-month-old son on the Grand Forks Air Force Base has been ordered to serve two years on electronic home monitoring and three years on probation.

Twenty-one-year-old Kyle Danaher pleaded guilty in August to charges of child abuse and neglect. The Grand Forks Herald reports that Danaher in court on Wednesday said he “failed as a father and a husband.”

Danaher’s wife, Elonmarie, told the judge her husband made a mistake in shaking their son late last year and that she believes it will never happen again.
