N.D. officials say old Crary school is a danger

The Ramsey County Commission is trying to figure out how best to deal with the old school in Crary.

DEVILS LAKE, N.D. (AP) — The Ramsey County Commission is trying to figure out how best to deal with the old school in Crary.

Authorities say the abandoned school has become a target of mischievous youth and that its condition is a danger.

Sheriff Steve Nelson describes the building as “trashed.” It also has asbestos.

The Devils Lake Journal reports that the county commission is concerned about the cost of razing the building, but President Joe Belford says it's the county's responsibility to start the process.
